The Ranger's seem to learning the lesson that if the other team has problems scoring goals then you need to score fewer to win. This is especially important when your offense looks bedraggled and appears to need a cup of warm cocoa and fuzzy slippers more than a hockey stick and skates. Fortunately, the defense and backup goalie Kevin Weekes made up for the paltry 2 goals produced by the Ranger's offensive lines. Weekes had 34 saves and allowed only one goal. He made several awesome stops.
I was also glad to see Darius Kasparaitis back. His nasty defensive style is a joy to watch and he clearly shakes up the opposing offense. Let's hope he remains healthy!
