Home Is Not So Sweet: Rangers Beaten By Kings

The Los Angeles Kings have the worst team in the West. You wouldn't know it by watching the game tonight. The Rangers looked tired, and Lundqvist was certainly not in top form in a 4-2 loss. Of course, his defense collapsed every now and then, too. Although the Rangers occasionally brought it close, they could never get it together enough to stop the Kings. The Kings rookie goalie, Jason LaBarbara, was also really sharp tonight, stopping several good shots that could have tipped the game. LaBarara was originally drafted by the Rangers in 1998. Go figure.

The highlight of the night was a ceremonial faceoff. The puck was dropped by World Champion New York Giants linesmen Greg Ruegamer and Rich Seubert. This got the biggest cheer out of the crowd, and rightly so.
